Dr. Julie Kessel and Nick Janovsky are long time friends, Floridians and residents of St Pete. As Principals of St. Pete Development Company, they are building communities together. Both, consummate storytellers, they believe that exceptional design can only be realized in the context of a genuine and compelling story. So once they identify a potential opportunity they begin to develop the story. They use an interactive process that begins with a place, ideas, and words that capture the essence of the place or the conceptual design.
They consider the environment, the culture, the vibe, and together they bring the story to life. The physical elements of the actual geography of their site, and the experience that the story invokes, compels the design of the buildings and the environment they create with their extended team. Invariably, during that process, they describe falling in love with the story and the design that comes from it. Their passion for projects and the community, their partnership, and their attention to detail are elements they each ascribe to their success.
In downtown St Pete, their project, Driftwood on Central, is sold out an in development. They have most recently introduced SOMA, a boutique townhome community on 4th Avenue South.
